Strengthening Health Systems Through Sustainable Interventions

Since 2009, the PQM program has been USAID’s intervention for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of medicines. PQM helps low- and middle-income countries strengthen health systems by building their capacity for regulating and manufacturing medicines. This helps increase the availability of lifesaving, quality-assured medicines that are vital to accelerating universal health coverage, ensuring healthy lives, and promoting well-being for all people of all ages.
